Scott Adams

Scott is a certified financial planner and the co-founder of The Special Needs Planning Center in Liberty, MO. Scott is also the parent of five small children, three of whom have special needs. He and his wife Lisa adopted their three oldest children before being blessed with two children of their own. Shortly after their adoption they came to realize that they had adopted not one special needs child as they had intended, but three. As such, they are called to recognize the excellence required in parenting such a special clan.

Scott has been a financial planner and advisor since 1992. During this period he earned a designation as a Chartered Financial Consultant working with families to assist them with their financial and estate planning needs. As Scott began to plan for his growing family he quickly became aware of the paucity of information that he would need for the long term planning and protection of his and Lisa's growing family. It was during this search that he began to realize the level of highly specialized knowledge that is required to effectively work with families who have special needs children or dependents with special needs. From this search for knowledge Scott, with his business partner Heath Burch, launched The Special Needs Planning Center.
